EXPERIENCE

Outside of the standard academic hustle, I've performed extensive laboratory research and published on the science of the skin barrier, electron microscopy, and congenital skin diseases. I've also authored articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, book chapters in dermatology and have presented my research at both national and regional meetings, receiving several awards for my work.

RECENT WORK

My most recent work on regressed melanoma is included in the fourth edition of the World Health Organization Classification of Skin Tumours.

I am an adjunct professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and have received a teaching award for my work with residents.

In addition to my main focus on complex medical dermatology, including skin cancer, autoimmune disorders, supportive oncodermatology, skin of color and infectious diseases, I have a love for global health. My work has taken me to Botswana, Haiti, and Bolivia.
